FAQ

1) What flowers am I able to choose?
Currently we offer Standard and Spray Carnations, Gerberas, and Anturiums. We also have a selection of other flowers depending on the season, such as Lilies, Roses, Orchids and Freesias. To know what we offer please check our web site or join our mailling list and we will inform you.

2) Do you grow your own flowers?
We grow all our Carnations, Gerberas and seasonal plants. On rare occasions usually at peak periods control when our own supplies are insufficient, we use local contract growers under Supaflor supervision and strict quality control. Flowers such as Anturiums and Orchids which require specialist growing conditions are imported from the Netherlands.

3) Can I choose colours?
We have a wide range of varieties where we try to offer most colours throughout the year. Being a natural product we can never guarantee a preference of colour but will do our outmost to satisfy your request.

 

4) How long will my flowers take to be delivered?
From the date of posting 1 working day within Portugal and 3-4 days within Europe. Please allow 12 hours to process your order. Please note we can never guarantee delivery as it is beyond our control.

5) Are my flowers arranged specifically for my order?
Yes - all arrangements are personally prepared. The flowers are harvested on the morning of shipment where they are then placed in a special solution in the cold room and 'well fed' until the flower arrangements are made a couple of hours before shipment

6) How long will the flowers last once I receive them?
If they are kept in normal conditions as recommended in our enclosed card, Carnations will last up to 14 days, Anturiums 10 days and Gerbera 8 days.

7) Can you offer other flowers not listed?
Depending on availability and forewarning we will try to follow specific orders. Please e-mail, fax or call us for further information.

8) How can I pay?
We accept all major credit cards, you can send us the details by on-line ordering service, e-mail, fax, phone or post. We accept checks in Euros or Portuguese Escudos.

9) Are you environmental friendly in your growing?
Yes - We use Integrated Pest Management, which means we use natural predators to combat pests thus avoiding or greatly reducing the need of chemical applications.

10) Where is the Minho?
The Minho is a region in Northern Portugal which borders the northern province of Spain, Galiza. The mountains and lush valleys provide an ideal climate for year round floriculture.

11) Is my information confidential?
Totally. Supaflor does not distribute any information to third parties and all messages are in complete confidentiality..
